Summer Escapade

The heat of the glaring sun and the usual craving for refreshments during the day remind us that summer is nearing. For most students, summer means cessation from tiresome homework preparations, school projects and stressful exams. It's the best time of the year when everyone looks forward to beach outings and out-of-town vacations. Old and young alike seem to share the same vibes and energy when it comes to making plans for an exciting and adventurous summer escapade.

As for me, summer is the time for relaxation.  The thought of so many beach parties to attend to surges my enthusiasm in making plans for a vacation that is full of excitement.

The island of Bohol is certainly the best destination for a summer getaway if you are looking for an extraordinary experience while vacationing. Beautiful natural resources are so diverse and plentiful. You will never want to miss its grandeur during your stay in the island. The white-sandy beaches of Panglao Island and its cool crystal blue waters would surely give you a total respite from the dreary routine of city life.

The Zip-lining Adventure

The zip-lining adventure in Danao, Bohol is an encouraging activity for adventurous individuals. This was my first zip-lining experience and it was certainly memorable. In fact, I still plan to go there and experience it once more.

The Chocolate Hills Behind

A trip to Bohol won't be complete without at least catching a glimpse of the world-famous Chocolate Hills. as it serves as the highlight to any visit to the island province. The more than one thousand uniformly shaped hills dazzle those who see the photos but they also give jaw-dropping amazement to those who have actually seen them. They are indeed a natural wonder no one should miss seeing.

The Hanging Bridge

Another famous toursit destination in Bohol is the Hanging Bridge which is located in the town of Sevilla, Bohol. The bridge is more or less 40 meters long which crosses the Sipatan River. Its real name is Sipatan Hanging brigde. But most tourist would only label it at Hanging Bridge in Bohol.

The Floating Restaurant

Of course, you would never want to miss the floating restaurant in Loboc, Bohol. The restaurants offer an array of native dishes served in a all-you-can-eat fashion.

After your filling Loboc River Cruise, you can easily jump into other Bohol treasures. Loboc is very accessible to some of the greatest sights in Bohol including the Panglao Island where dive sites and white sand beaches are dime a dozen and the very famous Chocolate Hills. Aside from those famous sights, there are also a couple of restaurants that can be found around the municipality of Loboc. You sure would never ran out of other things to do, other places to see, and other sites to explore while you are in Bohol.

Experience the paradise in the Island of Bohol this summer vacation. It's worth it!

The 2012 Sinulog Festival, Cebu City, Philippines

The Sinulog Festival is one of the grandest festivals in the country. It is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of January. It shows the fervent devotion of Cebuanos to the child Jesus. It is probably the most celebrated occasion after the Holiday season. And once again, the Sinulog 2012 was celebrated with so many activities from day one until the street-dancing showdown of the out-of-town contingents. This year's street-dancing competition was joined by different participants from neighboring cities and provinces.
